Storyboard Text

  • Hi, I'm Sojourner Truth but my real name is  Isabella Baumfree. I am a Women's rights activist. This means that I am a person who campaigns for political and social change for women in society. In this case I am campaigning for women to be treated as equally as men.
  • Although women still aren't where they want to be, some major things have changed over time. Example ,we are able to work wherever we want, own companies & assets, attend college, participate in sports and vote.
  • Hi I'm Susan B. Anthony . I'm also a women's rights activist and the main goal of women's rights is to have women be treated with equality . Can you believe when I was alive in 1820 that women had just started to vote !?!?! Before that happened that was one of the main goals for some women.
  • Although Women's rights were well deserved, not everyone agreed that women deserved to be treated equally. For example, women were not allowed to have education, savings and assets. When they held jobs they never held positions of authority, spoke at meeting or contribute ideas. They were expected to prepare food, provide child care, care for their husbands.
