Hello Mr. Milo. Can you tell me what Cellular respiration and photosynthesis is?
OK sure. Cellular respiration is a process when people and animals convert food into energy.
Oxygen is then taken in from the air that we breathe through our lungs. The oxygen powers the mitochondria.
Glucose is then taken from the food we eat. The glucose breaks down in the mitochondria, releasing energy which charges ADP to ATP. Then lastly Carbon dioxide and water are waste.
Photosynthesis creates ATP. IT occurs in Chloroplasts. Photosynthesis requires sunlight to function but requires inorganic carbon.
Wow, that is very interesting. So what is Photosynthesis?
During photosynthesis carbon dioxide is absorbed and oxygen is released. Production of food occurs. Energy is captured.
Photosyhntesis and Cellular respiration are important parts of the Carbon cycle. The carbon cycle is the pathways through which carbon is recycled in the biosphere. Cellular respiration releases carbon dioxide then photosynthesis pulls carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.
Wow thank you for telling me about cellular respiration and photosynthesis.
