This boy is amazing!!!
I was born on March 17, 1806!
This is awesome thank you Norbert Rillieux
At a young age Norbert was a very intelligent person. Although he is an African-American his father was white, and his mother was a freed slave. He sent himself to France for his education, there he created the Multiple Effect Evaporator. Eventually he moved back home to use his machine on his plantation.
As a Scientist and Engineer Norbert Rilleux created a Multiple Effect Evaporator used to crystallize sugar. It was the only one not needing fires and cauldrons after the finished process, his invention was the only one to do all of the work.
He is historically significant because many candy companies rely on this machine to make sugar for these candies, such as Skittles.
