  • The French and Indian War was a conflict between the British/Colonists and the French/Indians. It was a war to decide which nation would control the Ohio River Valley.
  • We now have Canada and the Ohio River Valley!
  • Benjamin Franklin proposed the Albany Plan of Union, which was the plan that would call the British Colonies to form an alliance for their own defense.
  • NO PASSAGE
  • The treaty of 1763 (Treaty of Paris) ended the war in 1763.
  •  The treaty gave Britain Canada and The Ohio Valley. Therefore, France lost land and power.
  • Britain imposed the Proclamation of 1763 on the colonists which prohibited Colonists from traveling to the west side of the Appalachian Mountains.
  • The war cost Britain a lot of money so they taxed colonists. The colonists became angry.
