  • Facing The Battle of Waterloo
  • On June 17th, 1815 the Duke of Wellington set his defensive line near a large farm complex. This positioning was to gain advantage on Napolean's army. A large downpour was in the forecast for tonight. 
  • The heavy rain and thunder made advancements for any army impossible, delaying the battle till June 18th. 
  • The French began the battle day with the assualt against the Hougoumonts. The British had strong resistance against the Duke's army. The French were then on their way to Napoleon's army. 
  • Napoleon's was in assault against the British army. Napoleon's army lead aggressive assaults lasting several hours. The army for Duke of Wellington was slowed by the mud, but still progressing foward. 
  • As Napoleon was in attack with the British, the Prussian army took this chance to weaken his right flank.
