  • Macbeth about to kill duncan shows foreshadowing. The night before , Macbeth tells his wife he can sleep no more. It foreshadows Macbeth's insomnia and his wife's insanity.
  • Lennox tells Macbeth "lamentings heard I 'th' air, strange screams of death and prophesying with accents terrible.." This foreshadows that Lennox may know something or is suspicious because the audience knows Macbeth killed Duncan.
  • Ross and the old man discuss how Duncan's horses started to act up in an unnatural way. The horses turned wild and ate each other the night of Duncans death. He foreshadows a world going chaotic because of his death.
