  • Sarah Sutton
  • 1. Inheritance- Inheritance is a trait that was passed down from parent to offspring. 2. Overproduction- A generation of a species has more offspring than the environment can support. 3. Survival of the fittest- Only the organisms that are most fit for the environment and can reproduce the best survive. 4. Differential reproduction- Organisms that are better adapted to the environment survive and transmit more genes into the environment.
  • Variation
  • Overproduction
  • Survival of the fittest
  • In my population, there is a variation in color. Some of the dragons are red and some are blue.
  • Reproduction/ Inheritance
  • the limiting factor in this population is predators, food and space.
  • Adaptation
  • Trait selected: BlueTrait selected against: RedType of adaptation: PhysicalEnvironment/ Environmental change: Predator
  • different variation in color leads to survival. The blue dragons lead to better survival.
  • The blue dragons lead to higher survival because they blend in better with the sky and they are harder for the predators to see them.
