Page 179 The change between the open end, in the book and the closed end, in the play was an ineffective choice because in the book they leave it to your imagination which I liked. In the play they show Jonas looking in the window which closes the ending and makes it less exciting.
"Fiona was on his left, and on his other side a male named Pierre" page 51 the change between an audience in the book, and just Fiona, Asher, and Jonas in the play was ineffective because it takes away from how special the ceremony is.
"well this was the part he could not adequately understand- the apple had changed" Page 24 The choice to keep the scene the same was effective because this shows that jonas is starting to change and be able to see color
