- One of the important event in Russian history which causes the war to break out is the assassination of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife in Sarajevo in 1914.

- October Revolution leaded by Bolshevik Party leader Vladimir Lenin against the Provisional government in 1917. During that times, Russia was facing bad economic, weak government, and continuation of war. This gave Bolshevik upper hand to take control of the government.

- On March 3, 1918, a treaty was signed between Germany and Russia. With this treaty Russia backed out of WWI. The war caused a lot of Russian people to lose their lives.

- Introduction N.E.P to the people of Russia
- Russia Civil War break out in 1918. It was fought between the "Reds" Army led by Leon Trotsky against the "Whites" Army of anti-Bolsheviks. Both fought for control of Russia. In the ends, the Red Army won but many lives was lost.
- Czar Nicholas Romanov II abdicated the throne in 1917. He and family were executed by the Bolshevik troops in 1918. The Romanov family were killed because the Bolshevik believes Russia should be ruled by autocracy.
- The New Economic Policy (NEP) was created by Lenin in 1921 to help sharped the country economy. The policy is a mix of capitalism and socialism. It helps built a foundation for trading and boosted economy between the people of Russian working class and peasants.
