The Annual girl guides and brownies camp was held on Friday 24th May, and lasted until the 26th. We all had a lot of fun and acquired many different skills, but it all began on Friday after school when we had lunch in the dinning hall together.
Later that evening, there was an arts and craft competition where we were assigned to groups and told to design a word which spelt out the phrase for this years theme; 'Our Lives in a fairytale.' The groups were name Perriwinkle, Iridessa, Silvermist, and Rosetta.
To conclude the day, there was another competition where we designed a costume for a fairy tale only out of newspapers, tape, and dustbin bags. Group representatives then described the exquisite costumes as the models walked the runway. My group had a hard time attaching wings to the outfit but we still won despite this.
Early Saturday morning, all the members of the camp had to engage in 8 am aerobics. Initially, I wasn't thrilled about the idea but before I knew it, I was having a lot of fun and my group got many points for active participation.
Another activity scheduled for that day was a scavenger hunt which caused for all of us to run around as groups with our clues in order to find the missing prize which was hidden somewhere. Once again my group came first, since we were quick to find ours in the EYFS ATM.
After lunch time, the art teacher taught us how to make our very own TIE-DYE shirts, and we were all able to make out creations on our own and take them home the following day. This was followed by an open water fight on the field which was simply hilarious and very interesting.
