  • The overall conflict of the play is witchcraft.
  •  "We did dance, uncle, and when you leaped out of the bush so suddenly, Betty was frightened and then she fainted. And there's the whole of it." 
  • This comic shows the girls in the forest from that night, Abigail is being dishonest and telling lies to her Uncle.
  • "I will fear nothing. Tell the children I have gone to visit someone sick."
  • This comic illustrates Elizabeth Proctor being arrested and her attitude/perspective while being arrested.
  • This comic shows Proctor going to court in an attempt to clear his wife's name.
  • "Why I would free my wife, sir."
  • The conflict has not been resolved. This comic illustrates John Proctor about to be hanged.
  • Throughout The Crucible, many characters have been dishonest in many different situations. However, the question is, will the truth be revealed?
