  • Efira had a king called Sisyphus that was very manipulative and greedy.
  • Hades
  • Sisyphus accused Zeus of having kidnapped the nymph Aegina in exchange for fresh water for his house. This unleashed the rage of Zeus.
  • A deal with the Death
  • Okay... Done deal
  • Zeus ordered Thanatos (The Death) to lock Sisyphus up in the underworld, but Sisyphus was smarter, he locked Thanatos up in a cell in the underworld and he run away.
  • The anger of the Gods
  • Hades was angry because didn’t die people due to Death was locked up. So Hades ordered Ares to release Thanatos (The Death) so Thanatos could lock Sisyphus up in the underground. Finally Death locked Sisyphus up in the underground.
  • Sisyphus made a deal with Death: Death will resurrect him and he promised that he will later return to the underground.
  • Sisyphus didn’t achieve the deal, so the Gods punished him. They condemned him to climb to the top of a mountain, carrying a big rock and when he reached the top, he would fall down and he would have to climb again. Forever.
