  • Canada's New Prohibition Law 1920
  • In the 1920's the women's groups campaigned for a ban on liquor for a long time. Eventually, the federal government introduced Prohibition, banning the production, import and transportation of liquor across the country.
  • Yes i did Lisa. This is outrageous they can not go through with this, you can not just ban something we love!
  • Jim, have you heard the new law that was just announced?
  • The reasoning behind this idea was men would stay out all night drunk in a bar. This would cause men to spend less time with there families, not go to work the next day or show up drunk, and they would waste there paychecks on drinking.
  • Most of my workers either arrive hungover or don't show up at all!
  • I am absolutely sick of my husband arriving home drunk almost every night! 
  • My husband wastes all his paycheck at that bar! Something must be done about thus.
  • Even though alcohol was illegal there were still

  • You may be thinking, how could people still get alcohol with this ban? Well let me introduce you to Rocco Perri.  He became a millionaire because he would smuggle alcohol from Hamilton to the USA.  
  • Hello, Hello. My Name is Rocco Perri. I am now a millionare because I am a criminal mastermind.
  • Rocco Perri would transport the illegal alcohol by hiding it in cargo package's containing food or other goods and have it transported to the USA or somewhere else in Canada.
