  • some main characters in jip are jip, put, sheldon, Mr. and Mrs. lyman, The wilken's family, Luke Stevens, Teacher , the Bracket's boys, the slave catchers, and members of the poor farm. The setting of the story is on a poor farm in Vermont before the Civil War mid 1800's

  • Put getting shot and JIP crying the other part in the back is their camp out.

  • The conflict is when " the lunatic" moves in.

  • Some rising actions are that when JIP was little he got thrown off a gypsy wagon. Another is that he lives on the poor farm.

  • The falling action is when Jip and teacher are talking about how at Puts funeral they would have a proper funeral. They also talked about how Lucy would know the song that Put used to sing so that it could be played at the funeral.
  • The resolution is when JIP went South to try and escape the slave catchers.
