I am a person from Neolithic times, here from the future to do some research on what Neolithic times where like.
Well, we hunt and gather in order to get our food.
Oh that's interesting, we farm and domesticate animals.
First of all, what is food like for you?
Because we hunt, if we stay in one area too long then food will get scarce. So we where nomads
Oh that makes sense. Because we grow our own food and raise our own animals we can stay in one place and grow more permanent homes, and eventually entire civilizations.
We take shelter in temporary, tent-like structures because we can't live in one place for too long.
Why is that?
Alright, what about your shelters?
Well for the most part, our jobs are pretty simple, we had people who went out to hunt and gather, and people who worked on things back at home.
Interesting, in Neolithic times we have many different jobs such as farmers, basket weavers, toolmakers, and traders.
Alright, what about your jobs?
Trading? We don't do that yet.
Oh really? Trading is a big part of our society. We trade with other communities for resources that we don't have. People will cross mountains barefoot and sail the sea to get things such as flint or obsidian.
Speaking of trade, what is trade like for you?
Cool! In Neolithic times, we learned to organize ourselves and work together to get things done faster. Our communities are have much more people than yours, and we even end up with entire empires in more recent times.
We lived in groups of about 20-60 people. During the time of the Neanderthal Man we began to hunt in more organized groups and have a sense of cummunity.
Alright, one last question.what are your communities like?
Thanks for answering my questions but now I have to go, bye!
