  • Confederate general in civil war, and they called stonewall after the battle of Bull Run.

  • In April 1861 , Fort Sumter(a federal fort in Charleston Harbor) was attacked by confederate forces.
  • Siege of Vicksburg
  • It was the bloodiest single day battle in Civil War.It happened on September 17,1862. It was a union victory.
  • It went from July 1-3, 1863.92,000 union soldiers fought and 76,000 confederate soldiers fought. The union won this battle, which was a major win.
  • Happened from may through July of 1863. The union gained control of Mississippi river  and also divided the southern states.
