  • Kind Midas was a very greedy and rich man who always wanted more money and gold. So, one day a fairy boy granted him a wish and king Midas chose to have everything touch turn to gold. Although, the fairy boy didn't think it was a good idea but, the king insisted.
  • Are you sure? I do not think thats a good idea.
  • I can grant you one wish.
  • I want everything I touch to turn to gold!
  • Yes, I am sure.
  • The king woke up and had to try his new power. He tried touching a chair and it instantly turned to gold! King Midas was greatly impressed by what the fairy boy had did to him.
  • My wish was granted!
  • When King Midas went to eat bread, it turned to rock hard gold. Then, he tried drinking wine and right when it hit his throat, it also turned into solid gold causing the king to choke.
  • Next, the king went to hug his daughter and she also turned into rock-solid gold. King Midas did not now what to do now that he did not have a daughter and could not eat or drink anything!
  • Oh no! My lovely daughter!
  • The king cried to the fairy boy for help. The fairy boy told him to sprinkle everything that was turned into gold with water and the curse would be lifted.
  • Oh fairy boy! What can I do to get rid of this spell!
  • You must sprinkle everything that you touched with water.
  • King Midas splashed everything with water and his daughter came back to life. He also was now able to eat again. Finally, the king was grateful about everything.
