  • "Daisy's murmur was only to make people lean toward her"(Fitzgerald 9). this shows the readers that Daisy draws people in and does it on purpose. Nick describes her voice as charming and people are charmed by it, and that's why it draws people in.
  • "I suppose he had smiled at Cody--He had probably discovered that people liked him when he smiled"(Fitzgerald 100). Gatsby is smiling at Dan an figured out that people are drawn to him by his smile.
  • "Her voice is full of money"(Fitzgerald 120). The readers finally learn what draws people in to Daisy, it was money. Every time Fitzgerald describes Daisy's voice there's a charm to it that draws people in. In this Gatsby and Nick are talking about Daisy and how her voice draws people in.
