Storyboard Text

  • This river will make you invincible forever!
  • Your son will grow to be the greatest of greek warriors, and may one day supplant Zeus as ruler of the gods.
  • Paris, This must end!
  • As a baby, Achilles' mother (Thetis) dipped him in the river Styx. This river was said to give invulnerability, "Thus making him immortal."
  • Please no, please spare me!
  • Prophecies are told of Achilles and his greatness
  • You are not going to stand in the way of my victory!
  • The Trojan war starts, Achilles wishes to "fight alongside my fellowmen to defeat this enemy."
  • Victory at last
  • The war lasted for years, and Achilles killed many, but none were able to come close to harming him.
  • Achilles was truly the greatest warrior of the Greek army, and his only competition for greatness was Paris. Their fight lasted days.
  • Paris kills Achilles because Achilles' heel was not dipped in the Styx river. Paris was able to "shoot a poison arrow into the vulnerable heel of his long lasted enemy."
