  • Rats infested boats going from China to Europe in 1328. The rats had fleas that carried diseases. The diseases got passed from fleas to humans. 
  • By the time the infested ships got to Europe, people caught the disease. People were dying daily. 
  • People in France got the plague and the Plague spread quickly. 
  • A lot of people went to churches to get healed. Many people blamed the Church for the plague because the Bible says that plagues are what God uses to punish people. 
  • 50 million people died during the Black Death. There were so many deaths, they had no funerals, they died in groups. 
  • The Black Death ended in 1351. 25 million people died because of this plague. The Bubonic, Septicemic, and Pneumonic, the three types of plague still exist today.
