The water cycle is the process of water and how it changes to liquid to gas. Also how it travels from Earth's oceans to the atmosphere.
Evaporation is when water from lakes, rivers, ponds, ice, and the ocean turns into water vapor because of the Sun's heat.
Transpiration also happens during evaporation except that instead of evaporating from water sources, water evaporates from plants.
Condensation is when water vapor turns into liquid water. This is when water from the Earth turns into clouds and is now ready for precipitation.
Precipitation is also known as rain. When water from clouds comes back down to earth because of gravity. Precipitation is also known as acid rain in Chemical Weathering because rain isn't just rain, it has other chemicals. It destroys the way some rocks and minerals look or feel.
Collection is when all water goes to one place to be collected. Most of the rain water ends up in an ocean. Surface runoff happens and some water travels into rivers. Sometimes underground runoff happens too and the water goes underground and travels through soil.
