In the woods there lived a bear whose name was Mookie. He was hungry so he decided to look for some food.
Mookie walked through the thick, gnarled trees until he came to a river of mud. On the other side of the river lay a thick bush full of cherry red berries. Quickly he stepped into the mud, but to his surprise, he couldn't lift his paws. He pulled and pulled and finally they popped out of the thick, gooey mud.
Quickly Mookie ran past the muddy river until he came to a grassy area where he spotted bright yellow flowers. His tummy growled. He sniffed the flowers and gingerly took a bite. Pfff! Mookie spit the flowers out. They were no good to eat.
He left the flowers and traveled over the hills and past the tall evergreen trees.
At the top of the highest hill, Mookie could see his home. His eyes wandered a little farther and he noticed a little stream right beside his home.
Quickly he headed to the stream. His huge paw dipped in and pulled out the biggest trout he had ever eaten. As he tummy stopped grumbling, he thought about what an amazing place he had to live. He decided that he had everything he needed where he lived.
