Storyboard Text

  • The Old man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway storyboard by Sebastian Cormier
  • It has be half a day and half a night but I follow this fish till either i die or it dies.
  • The theme of TOMATS is to never give up And always persevere.
  • Why the theme of TOMATS is never give up is to because Santiago always fishes every day, always tries, and comes back with nothing, then he goes out again.
  • “‘But remember how you went eighty-seven days without fish and then we caught big ones every day for three weeks’”(1). “‘I remember,’ the old man said. ‘I know you did not leave me because you doubted”(1).
  •
  • The Author's Purpose
  • The author's purpose is entertain because it is not telling the reader fact. It is not persuade because the author is not trying to sway you to he believes in.
  • Also why the purpose of TOMATS  is to entertain is because comments like this help the reader show what Santiago's character is like.
  • "The Yankee cannot loose" (3).
  • The skiff Santiago uses represents the audience because like some of Hemingway's books the reader follows the character on a adventure.
