Hi, there! My name is Josh W, and I am going to tell you about plastic.
Plastic became popular in the 1900's. It was new. The plastic was stretchy, yet strong. It was perfect.
Some of the negative effects of plastic are it isn't biodegradable, when it breaks down it's deadly, it looks like food so some animals eat it, it pollutes the Earth, and it collects in massive gyres.
Plastic may be bad, but we can change and reduce our plastic waste.
One way is to reuse the bags and bottles. Another would be to use biodegradable or reusable material instead. One more way is to eliminate the use of plastic overall.
