  • So I'll be training you on how to perform our sales here!

  • The first thing to mention is approach, we want to come off as a friend, to build the relationship with the customer, strike up a conversation, try to understand what they are looking for immediately, try to use your knowledge of our products to determine what boat fits their needs. Don't try to interrogate or answer your own questions just be friendly!
  • Make sure that your product knowledge is extensive as you want to show the buyer the product that he's described to you quickly. Make sure to establish how much they are willing to spend so you don't show a product that is too expensive. Try to limit to 1 or 2 products at a time to not overwhelm the customer. Present the Pros of the product endorse it yourself, don't speak negatively about the product in anyway just mention all the ways that It fits their needs!
  • Now what do I do if a customer objects to the product I show?
  • In that case listen to the objection, it usually will either be price or a feature isn't included on the product. Make sure that you fully understand the objection, then show them a product that has the objection solved. Then confirm that the objection has been satisfied.
  • The last thing I want to mention is suggestion selling, this is recommending additional purchases or packages with the product after you have made the sale. Make sure that you are definite in your suggestion and that you are positive. Also try to make the suggestion from the customers perspective, think how they think.
