I grew up in Bor Southern Sudan,. Here we like to fish in the White Nile and go to school.
In 1983 a civil war broke out between the Muslims of the north and the Christians Animist of the south
I was taken from everything then sent to a refuge camp in Ethiopia. It was ran by rebel forces. Not long after I arrived, it closed and i was taken back to Sudan.
In 1992 me and about 11,000 other boys were taken to a camp the soon were know as the "lost boys". Here we received some education but nothing to prepare us for manhood. When we got out we had no money to marry. The rebel tribes begged for me to join, I just couldn't! I headed out to try and find hope, when i came across a relief center that could help me better my future.
Not long after, I was sent to USA , where I now happily live in Ohio. Even though I am living a great life, I still pray for my brothers and sisters in Sudan.
