- “It’s hot as hell. Give me a shave.”
- “But you know what? It was a success. We got the leaders. Some we brought back dead, some are still alive. But soon they’ll all be dead.”
- “Fourteen. We had to go in pretty far to find them. But they’re paying for it now. And not one of them will come out alive, not one.”
- “How many did you get?”
- he ordered the townspeople to gather in the schoolyard to see the four rebels hanging there,
- Captain torres walks into the barber seeming to not know that the barber is his enemy.
- So which is it? Murderer or hero? My destiny hinges on the blade of this razor. I can push down a little more on my hand, lean like silk, like rubber, like sheepskin.
- When captain torres goes to sit down he talks about what he is doing seeming to not know that the barber absolutely despises it.
- AS the barber shaves the man he thinks about the horrible things he has done.
- “They told me that you’d kill me. I came to find out for myself. But killing isn’t easy. I know what I’m talking about.”
- The barber thinks about killing the man knowing he would be seen as a hero and a murderer.
- The barber continues to cuts the man's hair.
- The barber finishes cutting the mans hair and the man tells him something surprising.
