  • Have you thought about those people and their family? What if this happened to your own parents or people you care about. The devastation and sadness that would come with it knowing your friends or family ended up dead for someone's own entertainment. Pathos
  • This dialogue uses pathos to convince Zaroff because it taps into the emotion sadness, regret and empathy. It ask him to put himself in other's shoe and think about how this situation would effect him.
  • General Zaroff, I hope that you do realize that this is illegal and you would be put in jail if the word gets out. You can even be sentenced to death and you won't see your family ever again. Is life long prison or death sentence worth the enjoyment you're having? Logos
  • This dialogue uses logos to convince Zaroff because it states what will happen to him if people finds out what is actually happening on this island. When most people hear that, they will re-evaluate their action.
