- When Prince Henry was 10 his brother died leaving him to be King of England. When he was 17 his father dies and he became King. Back then he was skinny. He liked to play tennis and jousting

- King Henry was set on getting a male heir to the throne. His first wife Catherine of Aragon, his brother's widow, could not produce a male heir. So he divorced her.
- Since divorces were not allowed back then he asked the Pope to make an exception. The Pope said No, so he made his own church and divorced her.
- King Henry and King Francis challenged each other to a wresting match at a party. When King Francis of France beat him the countries went to war.
- Anne Boyelyn was his second wife. She had a baby girl but not a boy so she was beheaded.
