Well Sam from the stories I've been told by your grandparents and my grandparents, we celebrate Christmas because of our religion. In our religion Christmas was the day Jesus was born. We celebrate this day by giving and spreading happiness on this day to honor Jesus. We hang up crosses and pray on this day to honor Jesus for all the givings and sacrifices he made. We also go to Church the day of Christmas to celebrate
