Storyboard Text

  • It's review time! How are elements 1-26 formed?
  • Well, hydrogen clumps together into stars.
  • Right, then the hydrogen were fused and made into helium.
  • And stars with less hydrogen use helium as fuel instead of hydrogen.
  • Then helium can stick together and form the even-numbered elements.
  • Or helium breaks apart and forms odd- numbered elements.
  • And big stars with more fuel can form elements 7-12 from carbon.
  • As stars burn off lighter elements, they fuse the rest of the elements in 1-26.
  • Elements 27-92 are formed by stars collapsing and exploding when they die.
  • When they recover from collapsing, they explode and the rest of the elements can be formed!
  • Science sure is fascinating, right?!
  • Yeah! I think I'm ready for our quiz now!
