  • The title means that there is a person who stops by the woods on a snowy night to watch the snowfall.
  • A-Attitude/Tone
  • Its so peaceful here.
  • There is a person who stops by the woods. They know who owns the woods and that he wouldn't know that she stopped in his woods to watch the snowfall. The horse believe its strange to just stop when its freezing. The horse tries to gets the persons attention by making noise with his bells on harness. Only sound is the wind/snow falling. The woods is beautiful, the rider wanted to stay but made promises and she still has miles to go.

  • I'm unhappy that I can't stay here and just watch the snowfall.
  • "Watch the woods fill up with snow." The woods symbolize everything in the world that distracts us from what needs to be done.The rider stops to see the beautiful snow fall down in the woods.

  • Its so sad that I have to leave but  I  still have miles to go.
  • The tone is calm and relaxed because she can only hear her horse bells, snow falling and the wind too.The mood is quiet. 
  • There was a big shift/change when she said "but I have promises to keep." She made promises to keep going so she can't stay to watch the pleasant snow fall.. 
  • The theme is related to choices and responsibly.  The poet is trying to say that everyone should spend time with nature before we get back to our daily/normal lifes.
