Yeah this is actually the biggest gathering of people in the world
Man there are alot of people here for Haji, the pilgrimage
Cool but seriously I can't believe it is Dhual-Haijah already
The Haji is the traditional name for this ritual and the Dhual-Haijah is the last month in the Islamic calendar.
This is so cool. Yet we are given limited food supplies because as Muhammed ventured across this journey whilst starting this tradition he and his followers only had enough food to survive
This has been the journey of lifetime dedicating our passion and will to the one and only God Allah
In the weeks leading up to the pilgrimage Travellers travel to Jeddah, Saudi or Arabia which are the nearest cities to Mecca, 45 miles, t join group where they then begin to make the great journey to Mecca
I'm glad you have enjoyed it for your first time

Along the way the group stop into differnt towns to change clothes and rest. They also enter a state of devotion by chanting Here I am, Oh God, at Your command! Here I am at Your command! You are without associate! Here I am at Your command! To You are all praise, grace and dominion! You are without associate!

In the beginning days of the Pilgrimage they visit, Mina, Plains of Arafat whilst celebrating the day of Arafat, Muzdalifah and they celebrate the festival of Eil-al-Adah. At one stage they also return to Mina to throw stones at the pillars of Islam representing temptations form Satan. However, they rest making a tent city on the first day whilst praying for a good journey and reading the Q'ran
During the closing days of the journey there are many different ceremonies performed coming into the city Mecca such as drinking form the ancient spring known as ZamZam, performing seven twafs around the Ka'ba house of worship built by prophet Abraham and walking seven times between two small hills enclosed in the Grand Mosques complex.
