On a beautiful day in Miami, my family and I were coming back from dinner in a red car my uncle lend us so that we could use while we were in Miami. It was starting to get dark on our way to my great grandma's apartment, which was where we were staying.
All of a sudden, "POP" We heard a big loud noise and we felt a strange movement in our car.
The ride started to get bumpy and slower It was jerky and rough. We knew something was wrong. It was starting to become dangerous because we were on a busy road. To make matters worse, there wasn't even an emergency lane. We did the best we could and we stopped to the side. As we pushed the button for the emergency lights, they wouldn't turn on...great.
My dad got out of the car to check what was happening. Of course, we had a flat tire. Since this wasn't even our car, we were not sure of what was in the trunk. "HONK" A car went from behind so close to hitting our car. The speed limit was 80 km/h and since it was night nobody could see us. Thank goodness there was a spare tire, but the tire jack was rusty and crooked. We would have to work with it.
More and more cars were coming close to hitting us and all we could hear was "HONK, HONK, HONK". My dad told us to get out of the car because it would be safer for us that way. He took out the tire jack and tried lifting the car with it to be able to take the tire out. However, every time he would try to lift it up the jack would collapse and wouldn't be able to hold the weight. Great, now we don't have a tire jack at all.
We were so scared. Surrounded by bright lights, loud honks, fast passing cars, and the dark night, we didn't know when we were even going to make it back. My mom went back into the car to get something so I went with her. While we were inside I mentioned that we should pray for God to give us peace and to send an angel to help us.
