- Welcome to the Indus Valley! We live along the Indus river, which gives us our way of life!
- The Indus River begins high up in the Himalayan mountains and ends in the Arabian Sea.
- This is the bathhouse at Mohenjo-Daro! We bathe for our religion, to represent purity!
- Priests and other religious leaders bathed here before a religious ceremony.
- Hi, I'm Abigail. Me and the other Indus children enjoy taking care of pets! This is my pet monkey, Albert!
- Indus children kept all sorts of pets. Like monkeys, dogs, and even lizards and snakes.
- This is where we bury people that are know longer with us... We bury them with their possessions so they can use them in their next life.
- The Indus people believed in a mother goddess... They also believed in an afterlife, which meant when people died, they buried them with their possessions, to use in the after life!
- I'm and Indus Valley farmer! We invented the plow!
- Indus valley farmers were experts at using the river for their soil's fertility.
- I'm Amir, an Indus Valley brick maker. We mix mud, clay and water together. Before drying our bricks in wooden molds on a fire or in a kiln.
- The brick makers made such tough bricks. The ruins still stand 400 years later!
