  • Going to Play Basketball
  • Sure, we'd love to!
  • Hey, want to come play basketball with me?
  • At the Court
  • So if each of us gets to play 3 quarters, and there's 3 of us, how many quarters do we play all together?
  • Well we need to do 3/4 x 3 to get 9/4 or nine quarters!
  • Time to Leave
  • I'm starving!
  • Sounds great!
  • You guys could come to my house for a snack
  • Jeremy asked his friends if they would come to the park with him for a little while.
  • Snack Time
  • I made two cookies for the three of you!
  • I know! Since there are 2 cookies and 3 of us, 2 divided by 3 equals 2/3!
  • The boys play basketball and find out that the three of them together play 9 quarters
  • Party Time!
  • Thanks for coming!
  • Sorry you couldn't stay longer, we need to prepare for our party
  • It's ok, we need to go home anyway. Have a good party!
  • Jeremy invites them over to his house for a snack
  • Splitting The Pizza
  • So, we have three pizzas, and each guest gets 1/8 of a pizza. How many pizza plates do I need to buy?
  • So, Mom, we need to do 3 divided by 1/8 to get 24. So we need 24 pizza plates!
  • They need to figure out how much of the cookie they each get if the problem is that they have 2 cookies for 3 people.
  • So each of us gets 2/3 of it!
  • Now Jeremy and his Mom need to prepare for their party!
  • After finding the number of pizza plates they need, Jeremy and his mom had a great party!
  • What would I do without him?
  • So excited!
