  • In Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress there are lots of examples of friendship, but the most prevalent is the friendship between Luo, the narrator and the Little Seamstress
  • This friendship is a problem for the narrator when he falls in love with the Little Seamstress. The Narrator solved this problem by not expressing his feelings for her out of friendship.
  • This was resolved when enough of them died that they were forced to flee
  • The people who marched on Tienanmen square had a feeling of mutual friendship. They were marching as a group and as friends.
  • This friendship and grouping together to march on Tienanmen square caused thousands of deaths when the soldiers came and slaughtered them.
  • The problem was resolved by them being beaten to death, but never fighting back. This eventually made it so that they had more power than the ones who beat them.
  • The Congress party marched on the Dharasana Salt plant. They were being friendly and were not attacking or fighting back. They were only walking down the road. When they arrived they were beaten and killed by the soldiers awaiting them.
