Teaching is fun! I get to see my students learn and grow and sometimes I have to stifle a laugh as students do something in class. I can get to be a role model, influencing students for the good and can help them explore the world around them.
However, due to this pandemic, it very hard for me to be as I was before. The convenience I had on face to face discussions is gone and I'm not even sure if students fully grasp our lessons.
Ohh! I miss my students.
Without the convenience of in-person instruction, I have been challenged to reformat my teaching style to accommodate remote learning.
I worry that my students will miss out on certain practical and problem-solving skills since my subjects requires hands-on activities.
Forensic subjects present a unique difficulty for remote instruction. Students lacks access to tools that will be used in performing hands-on activities.
Hmmm.. I recorded my lecture and simulation on handwriting comparison and saved in their flash drive. But how can they perform on their own? Is there an app that they can use?
