Storyboard Text

  • (expedition) Charlie was an everyday guy in the 60's with an extra-ordinary situation. He was mentally challenged with a low IQ and mindset. He wanted to be smart more than anything, so he volunteered to be an experiment after being recommended to it by his night school teacher.
  • (Rising action) After many tests and races with a mouse (Algernon had the surguery), Charlie was selected to be used.  At first, he seemed the same but slowly he started getting very smart. After a few months, Charlie was a genius.
  • ( Climax) After a while, Algernon died. It showed Charlie that he would soon pass or deteriorate. Charlie looked for a way to change the effects but he couldn't find one.  He cut everyone out and locked himself up for a while trying to search for a way.
  • (Falling action) Charlie got so sad and angry that he cut everyone out of his life, including his old night school teacher who he had been dating.
  • (Resolution) In the end, Charlie writes a letter to Dr. S saying that he is glad he could make an impact on the world.  Charlie realizes that he was made a difference and is happy about that. He does die but he died happily.
