Paleolithic people were hunters and gatherers. The Paleolithic age was the beginning of being able to make tools. The use of fire began during the paleolitic age and made food more nutritional. Along with better food, fire also made the climate easier to adapt to.
As civilization emerged, government developed. They were made to regulate the people and create a maintain the food supply. They were ran by monarchs.
As civilization continued, religion became a big part of the Fertile Crescent. Religion was used to answer the people's questions about life. Polytheism was the main religion. Polytheistic people believed in as many as 3,000 gods. They served and obeyed these gods.
