Hi my name is Ivan and I moved to Minneapolis from Norway to have a better life. I started working in the flour milling industry because i was always interested in the idea of it.
First of all they would need to cut down hundreds of trees or use the prairies for space for the farmland by busting the ground and turning it over.
It's going take about 5 months to convert all this land into farmland.
Soon then the land would be ready for planting the wheat on average it takes about 7 to 8 months for the wheat to grow completely and to be harvested around spring or early summer so patience is a important thing.
then the wheat gets sent off to big flour mills to be grounded into flour using big machines called metal rollers.
Charles Pillsbury helped turn Minnesota into the flour milling capital off the world! He invested in failing milling companies and he knew he was getting into tough business but that all changed when his company was the best in the world by the 1890s.
After the flour was ready we would ship off to other parts of the United states or even different countries.
Soon after it would be sent to markets for people to use to bake and other stuff. Pillsbury's flour was the most liked of all flour companies with it's great flour.
