  • The bill is introduced into the Congress.
  • Dear Congress, I want pizza for lunch in school every day. Can you please pass this bill?Sincerely, US Citizen
  • Bill then goes to the committee/subcommittee. The committee then tables, rejects, or send the bill to the full chamber of Congress.

  • We like it! Send it back off to Congress!
  • The bill is now discussed and Congress and Senate votes on the bill.
  • Majority: Yes
  • Both chambers must approve the bill and some changes are usually made for them to agree to pass it.
  • Once the bill is finally agreed on it is sent to the President. He can veto or sign it.
