  • Tariff of Abominations
  • The south did not agree with these tariffs. John Calhoun was mad this was not right, he will not stand around and do nothing about this. South Carolina then wants to separate and leave the United States.
  • We want to leave the united states!!!!!
  • Yasss!
  • The southern delegates agreed to Nullify the Tarrif. Calhoun got them to agree to doing this, and they did as they said they would
  • We need to nullify this. Its for the best, Do you guys agree?
  • Andrew Jackson offered that he would lower the Tariffs by a little bit the help the south. He thought that this could help fix things with the south making them want to stay in America.
  • I will lower the prices of these tariffs, to make it more fair.
  • Andrew Jackson is tired of all of the things gong on. South Carolina is getting out of hand in his opinion and he starts to threaten them more harshly. He threatens them with military actions, also saying that he will hang any people that are nullifyers, also including John Calhoun
  • After Jackson made some threats to South Carolina, they backed off a little bit. Henry Clay then used his influence to make a compromise tariff. This would be passed by congress meaning that they would gradually lower the rates.
