  • New York Times V. United States
  • The case of New York Times v. United States or the case of the Pentagon Papers was the NIxon Administration trying to prevent the New York Times to publish papers that were classified to the Defense Department regarding the U.S. activities in Vietnam.
  • The Problem at hand is that the Nixon Administration is infringing on the New York Times first amendment right.
  • The constitutional problem is the New York Times Freedom of Press.
  • The outcome of this case was 6:3 in favor of the New York Times. This impacts us because that if confidential issues are released from somehow the press can talk  about or print the papers.
