Shear force is unaligned forces pushing against each other causing it to cut or tear
Hi i'm Sam and today I am going to teach you about forces
Our first force is compression. Compression is when something Reduces an objects volume causing it to have more potential energy.
Similar to a spring
Tension is like a rubber band it stretches then it has double the force
Tension is when an object is strained or stretched in order to make more force.
Now we're going to talk about Tension
Kind of like scissors cutting paper or even shearing a sheep
Now we're going to talk about shear
Like if you were to twist a piece of chalk in your hands until it splits
Our next force is torsion
Torsion is where forces are applied in opposite directions and twist against each other
Like if you bend a piece of sheet metal until it takes form or snaps
Bending is when you apply force onto one point of an object and the object shift form into a different shape.
Our last but not least force is bending
