  • Product Rule
  • When you multiply 2 powers with the same base, add the exponents!
  • Oh! So when 6^3 is multiplied by 6^4, it equals 6^7!
  • Quotient Rule
  • When you divide 2 powers with the same base, you subtract the exponents!
  • So 4^8 divided by 4^3 equals 4^5, thank you!
  • Power Rule
  • When you raise a power to a power, multiply the exponents!
  • That makes so much sense! So (4^3)^5 equals 4^15!
  • Zero Exponent
  • A base raised to the power of 0, will always equal 1.
  • Oh yeah! So 4^0 is 1 and so is 1,765^0 is 1!
  • Negative Exponents
  • A base raised to a negative power is equal to its reciprocal.
  • So 5^-7 is equal to 1/5^7!
  • Now We all Understand Exponents!
