Hoot, by Carl Hiassen. Is about a boy named Roy who would do anything to save a couple of owls. He meets a girl named Beatrice and her stepbrother Mullet Fingers and they help him save the owls.
Here is the hospital scene when mullet fingers is rushed because he got bit by a dog. That is where it started getting dangerous with them but not everything. This is also when Roy's parents find out about mullet fingers
Part of the rising action is actually really big. Dana beats up roy in the closet of the school, and Beatrice comes and saves him. That is where he really meets Mullet Fingers and starts working with them.
In the climax in the story. Roy, Beatrice, and Mullet Fingers with many others join hands together in protest. They all end up winning and the land becomes the birds.
One of the falling action parts is that a news lady comes and asks Roy some questions about the owl incident
The resolution in the story is that the owls get there own conservation center for the owls and they live happily ever after.
