  • The Punic Wars By Andrew Hinfey
  • This war was mostly fought on water. Each side would attempt to maneuver their ships to ram into an enemy ship. Carthage was winning, but the Romans ended up winning when they moved the battles to land.
  • Wait! I have an idea!
  • How can we win? Our navy is so small.
  • Haha! You will never defeat us!
  • Hannibal and his army are so strong! What will we do?
  • Rome's dictator avoided direct contact with Carthage's general Hannibal in Italy. Hannibal did not try to take over Rome completely, as the city was very fortified. Rome won again, when they sailed to Carthage and invaded it.

  • I know! We will avoid direct contact with them!
  • After not being able to defeat Hannibal in Italy, the Romans sailed to Carthage. They invaded the city and won he second Punic War.
  • Now we will beat you in your own land!
  • Oh no! The Romans are coming!
  • Haha! Victory will be ours again!
  • After the first two wars, Carthage fell apart. They were nothing but a small trading city, but Rome feared they were rise up again. They destroyed the city to prevent this.
  • You will be sold into slavery, just like everyone else.
  • We have won again! That's three in a row.
  • What will we do? Our city is gone!
