Storyboard Text

  • I'm so bad...
  • Come on Son! Hit one!
  • I wonder what this is going to be like?
  • Want to play for Rutherford Little League?
  • atta way kid! Nice rip!
  • I could get used to this
  • The beginning of my little league career... The tryout. Unfortunately, it did not go well at all and I did not make it. Because of this, my self-confidence no longer existed and I quit baseball.
  • Why am I always on the bench
  • After quitting the sport of baseball forever, I received a call from a coach of a little league team called springs. They offered me a spot to play to fill in for a kid who couldn't commit to the team. I decided to give it one more shot.
  • Yes coach...
  • Son, can you go get the baseballs
  • Way to go Danny!!
  • The first day of practice felt weird. But, it was an atmosphere I didn't think was half bad and it felt like I belonged.
  • Yes!
  • Along the way I faced many challenges. One of them being sitting on the bench the whole season and never playing when I wanted too.
  • The whole season, I did everything that was asked of me and was a great teammate. I never got rewarded for it and it was a real struggle throughout the whole season to keep being the same person I was.
  • In the last game of the year I was put in to play the whole game and I got my first hit and I caught a flyball. For this reason I was chosen to be apart of the 9u all star team and this was the lift off point for my baseball career and this was what kept me from quitting at the end of the season.
