US:I told you we would gain our territory back! Now we are past the 38th Parallel!
US:If only our soldiers weren't facing disease, malnutrition, and frostbite...
Soviet Union:It's a cold winter...brrrrrrr! Now we are back to sharing the 38th Parallel.
SUMMER OF 1951
President Eisenhower of the US:I want to end the war, but Stalin wants to keep it going...
That same year...Joseph Stalin died,and a few months laterthe war ended
US:I cannot believe that 36,000 of our troops were killed.
US:...and it's so sad that 1.6 MILLION civiliams in Korea lost their lives during the Korean war.
THE 38th PARALLEL STILL DIVIDES NORTH AND SOUTH KOREA TODAY
